Situated north of the Arctic Circle on a hill above the Peel River, Fort McPherson is surrounded by lakes and trees, the community boasts an excellent view of the delta and the nearby Richardson Mountains. Fort McPherson is linked to both Whitehorse and Inuvik by the Dempster, Canada's most northern highway.
